Located at the mouth of the future Pilsen Paseo rails-to-trails project, the design looked to serve as a starting point while addressing the ongoing issues with gentrification. Utilizing prefabricated materials to lower construction cost.
The fully affordable development would partner with neighborhood organizations to provide workforce training, rotating pop-up space, maker-space incubator, and a cafe utilizing produce from the rooftop greenhouse. A large light well would also allow for sunlight to permeate all floors of the linear structure.
